TCS Bytes – 3

Written in

by

Dear Team,

Welcome back to another edition of Bytes, where every piece of info matters in shaping our collective success. Just like our logistics operations, each byte of data and insight propels us closer to our goals.

With our diverse team of over 10,000 dedicated individuals, it’s vital to celebrate the power of these bytes. While we have a mosaic of pictures in this issue covering the events with our senior managers, it would be heartening to hear more of and from our front liners about their achievements. They drive our daily operations, innovations, and progress. Whether it’s recognizing great teamwork, teamsters and super performers or sharing the latest success, each byte reflects our commitment to excellence.

As we aim to maintain our leadership position in our industry, let’s focus on the bytes that count. Updates on partnerships, employee highlights, or efficiency breakthroughs, these bits of info unite us as one force. Every byte contributes to our journey to greatness. Let’s embrace them fully, finding inspiration and motivation to exceed expectations.

Special thanks to Natasha, Rizwan, Tooba, and the Internal Communication Team for collating and presenting these bytes.

Here’s to another month of growth, collaboration, and success.

Training on Mental Health Awareness

Mental health issues often carry a stigma, preventing individuals from seeking help or even discussing their struggles. For this very reason, a training session was held at TCS head office on 10th May by Ms. Sharmeen Khan who has 15 years of experience in community outreach and mental health with the public, private and social sector. Training on mental health awareness promotes understanding and compassion, reducing stigma and fostering an environment where people feel safe to talk about their mental health.

Mother’s Day Campaign

Mother’s Day campaign was a wonderful initiative by TCS Sentiments to celebrate Mother’s Day. Providing a platform for people to share heartfelt stories about their mothers and offering special Mother’s Day boxes with personalized items was a thoughtful way to honor and appreciate mothers everywhere. Sharing stories and memories can truly highlight the special bond between mothers and their loved ones. I’m sure many people cherished the opportunity to express their love and gratitude for their mothers.

Rawalpindi is named after an ancient King, Bappa Rawal, who was the 8th century ruler of Mewar, which is considered the most powerful kingdom of Rajasthan. When the region of India was invaded by foreign rulers for the first time, Bappa Rawal combined the armies of the nearby regions and soundly defeated the invaders. He also defeated the invaders in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and even Turkey. He posted army camps in all these regions and amongst his many camps was Rawalpindi. Today, TCS has around 60 express centers in this city which has such a fascinating history.
