Executive Director Mr. Qasim Awan Invited to PM Office
The Executive Director of TCS, Mr. Qasim Awan, was honoured with an invite to attend a special meeting at the office of the Prime Minister on Tuesday, June 25th, along with 25 other business owners and CEOs. During the introductory session, TCS was the only company specifically acknowledged by the Prime Minister, owing to our recent cold chain work for DG Health.

Meet & Greet Session with MTOs
HR organized a meet and greet session for Management Trainee Officers (MTOs) with Ms. Saira Awan and Mr. Qasim Awan, who shared their insights on the company’s success story. The session provided a valuable opportunity for the MTOs to learn from their perspectives and learn how to bring about positive change through creative thinking and fresh ideas. Ms. Saira and Mr. Qasim encouraged the MTOs to think outside the box, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to take TCS to new heights.

Pakistan Philippines Business Forum
TCS proudly participated and sponsored ‘Gold Sponsorship’ on the 75th Significance Anniversary of Philippines – Pakistan Bilateral Relations, and 126th Anniversary of Philippine National day organized on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Arts Council, Karachi. Did You Know?
That TCS was listed as Case Study 24 – “TCS: An Entrepreneurial Air Express Company in Pakistan” in the Harvard Business School course on ‘International Entrepreneurship’. The book list’s 29 case studies of global companies that present a broad integrated approach to entrepreneurial ventures. The case studies were compiled in January 2004 by Professor Walter Kuemmerle.

Retirement Ceremony of Asim Usman
The HR Gujranwala organized a retirement ceremony for Mr. Asim Usman (Business Development Manager) at Gujranwala Office. This event was organized to recognize and honor the 31 years of dedicated service Mr. Asim has provided to TCS. The ceremony was attended by Regional Sales Head – North, Area Business Head – Gujranwala, and colleagues from Gujranwala area. Mr. Asim was also presented with a service appreciation gift during the ceremony.

Defensive Driving Training
First in-house defensive driving training is being conducted in head office for both longhaul and local drivers. This will be a regular feature from now on. A proper drivers’ training has also been formulated in which this training (Internal DDC) is mandatory for newly inducted drivers before onboarding on route.

Anti-Harassment Committee
TCS Human Resource department has taken an initiative to form an Anti-Harassment Committee (AHC), where Ms. Raiya Sultan, Manager HR Projects & Business Support, has been assigned the additional responsibility as the “Chairperson” for the Anti-Harassment Committee effective June 14, 2024. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to encourage a safe and respectful workplace for all employees. The Anti-Harassment Committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that our organization remains a supportive environment free from harassment and discrimination.

Training on Time Management
The TCS Human Resources department successfully conducted a Time Management training session. The training went incredibly well, and our trainer, Mr. Yousaf Jamal, did an excellent job engaging all of the attendees. Policy Awareness Session & Reward Ceremony
As part of our ongoing efforts to promote a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment, the HR Central teams organized a Courier Orientation, Policy Awareness session, and Reward Ceremony at the LHE Central Gulberg Office on June 8, 2024. We are pleased to share that the session was highly successful, with enthusiastic participation from both the Operations and Sentiment’s teams. The primary aim of the session was to cover various aspects from both a business and HR standpoint. HR team focused on providing our front liners with a better understanding of service delivery, SOPs, and our core values to enhance their performance and alignment with our principles.

Rewards and Recognition
TCS Human Resource department announces the latest recipients of May 2024, Courier, Driver and Technician of the month awards as per the Rewards and Recognition program. Winners will be getting Rs 3000 cash reward and an appreciation certificate. Their pictures will be placed on wall mounts in their respective areas.

Hyderabad Team Honors Loyal TCS Customer
On June 14th team Hyderabad organized a small ceremony at TCS Market Express Center to present a souvenir to one of our loyal TCS customers, Mr. Bandha Ali, an artist who has been honored by the government with the Tamgha-E-Imtiaz. It was a memorable event that not only celebrated his remarkable achievement but also reinforced our commitment to valuing and recognizing our esteemed customers.

TCS Hyderabad Partners with Bright House
TCS Hyderabad has successfully secured a partnership with Bright House to act as the ticketing partner for the highly awaited concert of Zeeshan Khan Rokhri. This event is expected to take place on June 27, 2024, at Kababjee’s Banquet in Hyderabad city. Zeeshan Khan Rokhri, a celebrated singer from Pakistan, boasts a massive fan base both in Pakistan and internationally. With millions of listeners and millions of views on his songs on YouTube, his music has captivated audiences worldwide. This concert promises to be a remarkable event for his fans in Hyderabad.

Did You Know?
The World Senior Citizens Day is celebrated on 21st of August every year. It was first proclaimed on 14th of December in the year 1990, by the United Nations General Assembly. The holiday was celebrated for the first time on October 1, 1991. The day is acknowledged to raise awareness about the factors and issues affecting older people, such as deterioration with age and to examine issues that affect their lives such as abuse of elderly people. It is also a day to recognize and appreciate the contributions that older people make to society.
“For all they have achieved throughout life and for all they continue to accomplish, we owe older citizens our thanks and a heartfelt salute. We can best demonstrate our gratitude and esteem by making sure that our communities are good places in which to mature and grow older – places in which older people can participate to the fullest and can find the encouragement, acceptance, assistance, and services they need to continue to lead lives of independence and dignity” Ronald Reagan, 1988.
We wish TCS Sentiments to proceed with this initiative to celebrate World Senior Citizens Day from now onwards.

Leadership Connect
The Leadership Connect Programme was implemented to improve the overall experience of our RSEs (Retail Sales Executives), with the goal of encouraging direct connection between our Consumer Head Office team and our RSEs. The Leadership Connect Programme is intended to be a systematic and comprehensive way to engaging with our RSEs, providing them with a forum to express their concerns, thoughts, and suggestions. We are confident that by interacting directly with our front-line staff, we can collaborate to overcome issues, improve operational efficiency, and eventually improve the entire customer experience. Two sessions have been held so far. Retail Sales Executives of Karachi were invited to Head office for an in-person session, and the second was conducted via Zoom with Retail Sales Executives of Multan.

MOU Signing Ceremony
Neem, a recognized financial services company, and Paymenow, South Africa’s distinguished market leader in Earned Wage Access (EWA) services, have merged to form Neem Paymenow. This joint venture aims to provide a EWA facility to TCS employees, allowing them to access their earned salaries in exchange for a certain service charge or commission. TCS, in a collaborative attitude and with the goal of improving employee welfare, has agreed to investigate the prospect of Neem providing such a service to its employees. This investigation covers Neem’s Paymenow mobile application, which provides smooth access to the EWA function.

TCS partnerships with Oladoc
TCS is pleased to announce a significant cooperation with Oladoc. They are offering 𝑺𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂 𝑾𝒂𝒅𝒂, a comprehensive Digital Health Care Subscription package built particularly for our consumers and their families. Signing ceremony with vendor for TCS fresh
TCS is pleased to sign a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with one of the renowned & prestigious Fruit Vendor of Rajanpur (M/S RBW Agro Farms) on 4th June’2024. The signing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ali Asghar Kayani, Director Central-Business. This agreement encompasses comprehensive sales and logistics services for the distribution of fruits throughout Pakistan. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Syed Abid Hussain Kazmi (RSH), Mr. Ghias Bin Asghar (ABH LHE), and Mr. Sabir Hussain (Business Head PCB Project & Event Management) for their invaluable contributions in facilitating this partnership. This agreement will significantly enhance our capacity to deliver the finest quality fruits to our customers via TCS Fresh.

Honoring Female Business Partners
On the occasion of Women’s Day and Ramadan Kareem, the retail department of TCS appreciated the female business partners for their contribution to the organization. The purpose of this activity was to acknowledge their hard work and make them feel valued. Every month Customer Services holds a certificate distribution ceremony to recognize their employees’ achievements for the month. This time, the ceremony introduced new recognitions such as the “Quarterly QA Performer” award. Additionally, certificates were also distributed to selected employees in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the “PSL Project”.

Strict Prohibition of Smoking in Office Premises
As part of our commitment to maintaining a healthy and professional work environment, TCS Human Resources has implemented strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regarding actions and habits that may impact health. Effective immediately, smoking, vaping, and chewing betel leaf and/or tobacco are strictly prohibited within the office premises, except in designated smoking areas at each location. Adherence to these guidelines is essential for ensuring a respectful and safe workplace for everyone. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the decorum of our offices.
